Spellit ("we," "us," or "our") is a spelling bee practice app operated by Quinnterprises LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to run the app:

Email address and password — when you create an account, stored securely via Supabase.
Subscription status — whether you have an active Spellit Pro subscription, synced from Stripe.
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Game data — your streaks, scores, and missed words are stored locally on your device using your browser's storage. This data never leaves your device.

How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To process your subscription payment via Stripe
To unlock subscriber features (Practice Packs, unlimited replays)
To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Spellit uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — authentication and database (privacy policy)
Stripe — payment processing (privacy policy)
ElevenLabs — text-to-speech audio for word pronunciation (privacy policy). Your spelling words are sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio.
Cloudflare — hosting and security (privacy policy)

Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us. Game data stored on your device can be cleared by clearing your browser's local storage.

Children's Privacy

Spellit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@spellitapp.com. If you are in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
